Join us for the Boston Big Climb, put on by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Hi! For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Nick Santaniello, and I maintain the Beacon Hill Women’s Forum website. I built the original website 7 years ago, and have been working with this amazing group since. In June 2020, I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma cancer, right at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. I underwent treatment for chemotherapy for eight months and I am happy to say I’ve been cancer free since the end of 2020! I’m still experiencing some challenging physical and emotional side effects, but I am pushing through them and trying my best to help and inspire others.

I am proud to have taken on a leadership role with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (the “LLS”), the organization that funds blood cancer research and treatments, which ended up saving my life. They recently made me the Chairperson of their 2022 “Boston Big Climb” charity fundraising event on May 7, 2022, where participants pledge to climb to the top of the tallest building in multiple cities across the country, including Boston, with all money raised going to blood cancer research and treatments.

I would love to put together a Beacon Hill Women’s Forum team to climb together in May. If anyone is interested in participating in the event on the BHWF climb team, I have provided steps below to join the team. You can join the BHWF Climb Team by following these steps:

  1. Go to https://pages.lls.org/bigclimb/ma/bigclimbbos22/beaconhillwomensforum
  2. Scroll down a little and click the “Join Today” button to create a new LLS account.
  3. On the next screen, look for “CORPORATE TEAM” and click the “Select & Continue” button.
  4. Search for “Beacon Hill” on the “Team” tab and you should see “Beacon Hill Women’s Forum” with either Wendy or Amy’s name below it.
  5. Click “Select & Continue”, and on the next page, complete the registration form.

That’s it! After you sign up, you will receive an email confirming your registration. You will be given your own fundraising page on the event’s website if you decided you wanted to fundraise and try to raise money.
